The gif shows a light that turns on when the light sensor is covered.
In the first day, we learned about digital systems. we implimented circuits and learned all about the AND, OR and NOT gates. we implemented the circuits on the bread board and the printed board, personally I liked the bread board more because it was more fun and challenging.
The image displays a C++ code that require the user input, perform calculations then prints the output.
I think that i enjoyed C++ programming the most out of all the topics, perhaps I just like all the programming languages, I studied Java before and I was curious about C++ and wanted to learn more of it, I was impressed and amazed by the differences and similarities between them.
Things I learned in C++
The gif shows a process of developing a simple app.
Developing android apps was a fun experience, the interface we used(MIT App Inventer) was very user friendly and it was easy to use and understand. I liked developing the doodle app the most which is an app made to draw on a white surface or a picture we take, there was diferent brush sizes and colors and we could even share our drawings.
The gif displays a house being monitored by an ipad without human intervention.
In the third day, we learned about Internet of Things (IoT) which was an intersting topic. Our instructor, Mr. Hammam gave us small home prototypes so that we could understand how smart homes work, there was light, temperature, humidity and door sensors that were working simultaneously.
The video shows sumo robots battle which is similar to what we did in the camp.
The robotics session was a really entertaining one, we built our robots and tried different tasks using different sensors like ultrasonic sensor to measure the distance and touch sensor to sense when the button is pressed to do different things. We built sumo robots and watched them fight, I think mine was the weakest one because of it's light weight but, it was fun building it and programming it.
The image above displays an HTML code.
In the last day, we learnt HTML code to develop our own web page. HTML is a simple and rather plain to code, this web page you are viewing now was made using HTML that we learnt in the session. Web programming was a light and easy subject to end the 5 day camp.
The Computer Science and Engineering Department (CSE) at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) organized this camp for students between grades 10-12. During the camp, students will engage in a series of experiments and hands-on activities, related to various topics in Computer Science and Engineering.
